ESPN panel updates College Football Playoff predictions after Week 1

It’s easy to overreact to Week 1 of the college football season. Some teams rose to the occasion and turned highly anticipated battles into laughers, while others struggled with perceived-to-be lesser foes. These first impressions, for better or worse, impacted ESPN’s new College Football Playoff predictions.
Three SEC teams — the LSU Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs and Texas Longhorns — were unanimous CFP selections. The Alabama Crimson Tide (5), Oklahoma Sooners (3), Ole Miss Rebels (3) and Texas A&M Aggies (2) also earned votes.
