College GameDay in Athens is going for a country feel. On Thursday, ESPN announced that country music star Jelly Roll will be the celebrity guest picker for the show from Georgia.
Jelly Roll won’t be the only country star featured on ESPN’s traveling pregame show. It was previously announced that Luke Combs and Bailey Zimmerman will give a live performance during the show.

The singer, born Jason Bradley DeFord, is originally from the Nasvhille area in Antioch, Tennessee. Those Tennessee roots will likely have some UGA fans unhappy with ESPN’s selection. Last week, Jelly Roll was sporting UT gear on the Neyland Stadium sideline for Tennessee’s clash with Arkansas. He can likely win over some Georgia fans, though, if he picks the Bulldogs to beat Ole Miss in the highly anticipated top-10 showdown.

Jelly Roll will join host Rece Davis and analysts Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit, Pat McAfee and Nick Saban at the desk to pick the biggest games of a loaded Week 8 segment. Other contributors, including Jess Sims, Pete Thamel and Stanford Steve, also appear live on the show.
