ESPN’s College GameDay will be in Coral Gables in Week 4 ahead of Saturday’s in-state rivalry game between Miami and Florida.

But Week 3’s episode, which saw the GameDay crew in Knoxville for Tennessee vs. Georgia, was another big one for the show.

According to ESPN’s PR account on X, that episode averaged 2.7 million viewers, peaking at 3.4 million in its final hour. All told, it is the 2nd-most regular-season episode in the show’s history, setting a mark previously reached during Week 2’s episode.

Compared to the 2024 Week 3 show, held in Boulder for the Colorado vs. Colorado State game, there was a 34% increase. Collectively, the three GameDay episodes this season have rated nearly 40 percent higher than a season ago. Week 1’s episode in Columbus, the final one for the legendary Lee Corso, was the most-watched in history with 4 million viewers.

We’ll see what the numbers end up being for Week 4. But it’s the first time since 2020 GameDay has been on the University of Miami campus. That season was obviously overshadowed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Miami will host GameDay for the 9th time. Saturday will mark their 27th overall appearance, the 15th most in the show’s history.
