In their last outing during Week 10, Arkansas fell to Mississippi State with a score of 38-25. Quarterback Taylen Green completed 19 of 31 passes for 194 yards, contributing one touchdown without any interceptions. He also added a rushing touchdown on 17 carries for 46 yards. On the other hand, LSU’s hopes for momentum were dashed in their recent game against Alabama, where the Tigers lost 20-9. Offensive struggles led to veteran starting quarterback Garrett Nussmeier being benched for backup Michael Van Buren. Running back Harlem Berry rushed for 66 yards on 12 carries, while Zavion Thomas recorded five receptions for a total of 49 yards.
The Bayou Bengals have won the last 3 matchups of the rivalry series, with their biggest win being 56-20 back in 2019. As both teams look to gain momentum heading into this crucial matchup, LSU aims to become bowl-eligible with a victory at home in Week 12. The Battle of the Golden Boot kicks off at 12:45 PM ET on the SEC Network.
