ESPN’s FPI predicts the outcome of every game on Georgia’s 2026 schedule
The Georgia Bulldogs have won the SEC Championship each of the past two seasons. Unfortunately, they were undone by a Sugar (Bowl) high both times. Notre Dame squeezed Georgia into submission in the 2024 Sugar Bowl, and Ole Miss won a shootout in last year’s game.
It’s up to Kirby Smart and Gunner Stockton to get the Bulldogs over their sugary hump. Even with road tests at Alabama and Ole Miss, Georgia’s schedule lays out well for a return to the SEC Championship. ESPN’s Football Power Index favors the Bulldogs in every game on their 2026 slate:
- Sept 5: Tennessee State Tigers | 99.9% chance to win
- Sept 12: Western Kentucky Hilltoppers | 98.1% chance to win
- Sept 19: Arkansas Razorbacks | 90.2% chance to win
- Sept 26: Oklahoma Sooners | 77.0% chance to win
- Oct 3: Vanderbilt Commodores | 90.2% chance to win
- Oct 10: Alabama Crimson Tide | 58.1% chance to win
- Oct 17: Auburn Tigers | 84.4% chance to win
- Oct 31: Florida Gators | 80.6% chance to win
- Nov 7: Ole Miss Rebels | 69.0% chance to win
- Nov 14: Missouri Tigers | 86.6% chance to win
- Nov 21: South Carolina Gamecocks | 80.0% chance to win
- Nov 28: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets | 94.2% chance to win

FPI gives Georgia an implied win total of 10.08. Nobody is going to lose their job if the Bulldogs win 10 games and fall in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals again, but the sights are set beyond that round.
Their journey starts versus Tennessee State on Sept. 5 (3:00 p.m. E.T., SEC Network+).
