ESPN’s FPI has been making predictions throughout the entire 2026 college football season, and Week 6 will be no different. There are many big games going on, especially when it comes to the SEC. One of those games features Texas A&M and Missouri, and the Tigers will be looking to build off their impressive win over Florida in Week 5.
The Aggies, on the other hand, would have to run the table to have any chance of making it to the College Football Playoff.
According to ESPN’s FPI, the matchup in Columbia is seen as nearly a pick’em. The Tigers are the slight home favorite with a 51.6% chance of winning the game.
The Aggies had lost two straight entering Week 5’s game against Arkansas, but A&M took care of business behind a good performance by the defense. To take a step, Texas A&M needs Marcel Reed to resemble the guy he was last season. Through five games, Reed has thrown for only 908 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions. At times last year, he was looked at as a legitimate contender for the Heisman Trophy, but so far, he hasn’t looked the part.
While the Aggies are struggling on offense, that isn’t the case for Missouri. The Tigers put together a spectacular offensive performance against the Gators, as Austin Simmons finished with 340 passing yards and two touchdowns. Add that to running back Jamal Roberts finishing with 211 rushing yards and three touchdowns, and the Tigers have one of the most potent offenses in college football.
