As the saying goes, “When there’s a will, there’s a way,” and that’s precisely what Kirby Smart and the unbeaten Georgia Bulldogs (3-0, 1-0 SEC) demonstrated last weekend.

However, the road ahead is anything but easy. The Dawgs face a challenging slate of games that will define their season. Their recent victory over Tennessee was a statement. Now, they’re preparing to host No. 14 Alabama on the other side of their bye week — arguably Georgia’s toughest remaining opponent.

ESPN’s Football Power Index favors the Bulldogs against Alabama, though slightly. The model has updated its projections for Georgia’s remaining matchups, and the outlook is promising. The Bulldogs are expected to win 10.0 games. FPI gives Georgia a 4.2% chance of winning out.

Below are the projected win probabilities for each remaining game on Georgia’s schedule:

  • Alabama: 55.5%
  • Kentucky: 88.9%
  • Auburn: 63.5%
  • Ole Miss: 64.7%
  • Florida: 79.8%
  • Mississippi State: 82.7%
  • Texas: 60.2%
  • Charlotte: 99.0%
  • Georgia Tech: 83.1%

For now, Georgia remains focused on one game at a time, with its sights set firmly on Kalen DeBoer’s No. 14 Crimson Tide arriving in Athens on Sept. 27. Kickoff from Sanford Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC. A lookahead line from DraftKings has the Bulldogs favored by 4.5 points.
