Now that the calendars have flipped to June, we’re technically only a handful of months away from men’s college basketball returning to our lives. Basketball resumes in October!
The NBA Draft has yet to take place, but the deadline to withdraw and return to school has passed, so we have a good idea of what rosters will look like for this coming season.
And, once again, the SEC is absolutely loaded. ESPN’s Jeff Borzello has the Florida Gators as his No. 1 team in his way-too-early top 25 rankings, and he included 7 SEC squads in the article, which you can find below:
Those 7 SEC schools mentioned in the top 25 are:
- No. 1 — Florida
- No. 6 — Tennessee
- No. 9 — Texas
- No. 11 — Arkansas
- No. 15 — Alabama
- No. 18 — Vanderbilt
- No. 20 — Mizzou
Just outside of the top 25 was Texas A&M, which received a mention among the “next 5” schools. Obviously, it’s still early, but this is a good look at which SEC squads could be elite this fall/winter.
