ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit says Auburn may be best team in SEC

ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbsreit said earlier this morning on College Gameday that he believes Auburn may be the best team in the SEC, but he added the Tigers have the toughest tough schedule.

The Tigers play San Jose State tonight before hitting the road to face Kansas State on Thursday, September 18, before starting SEC play.
We’ve said all along that Auburn may be the best team in the conference, but navigating a brutal schedule will be the difference in a nine or 11-win season. The Tigers are going to score on any defense in college football, but Auburn shoring up the run defense is the most important adjustment in the next few weeks.
