ESPN’s SP+ has released its score prediction for all Week 6 games, including the annual rivalry meeting between Oklahoma and Texas.

While the Red River Rivalry has provided some instant classics, these two teams are entering this game on two different paths. The Longhorns are currently the No. 1 team in the country, while the Sooners are limping into this game coming off a 41-13 loss to Georgia.

ESPN’s SP+ has made the prediction for the game, and it sees the Longhorns winning the game, 27-17.

Texas is currently No. 1 in the season, but the Longhorns are still looking for consistency. The offense has been up-and-down, with the fourth quarter against Ohio State being an outlier.

The defense is coming off a 10-sack game two weeks ago against Tennessee, with Colin Simmons leading the way with five.

Oklahoma’s offense has been the biggest issue this season, as the Sooners have been unable to find any kind of balance. In a home win against New Mexico in Week 3, the Sooners were able to rush for only 61 yards on 32 carries.

In this game, it is truly one of the rivalries where you can throw the records out. For Brent Venables, the season is teetering, and a win against Texas is possibly the only thing that can save it.
