Alabama and South Carolina are set to add another installment to their unique SEC history Saturday, as the Gamecocks will visit Tuscaloosa in desperate need of a positive result after falling against Mississippi State.
But the Crimson Tide are determined to put their best foot forward as well, with Kalen DeBoer & Co. eager to finally start out fast and play a full four quarters this weekend.
Ahead of Week 4’s slate of games, ESPN’s Bill Connelly released his SP+ predictions, and the clash in T-Town was included as one of the headliners.
And while SP+ does believe that the favored home side will be able to come out on top, the metric also thinks that South Carolina can keep the margin within single digits at 30-21.

The visitors have only emerged from Tuscaloosa with a win on one occasion: a comfortable 20-3 victory over Alabama in 2004. Overall, the latter leads the all-time series 13-4, with Carolina’s last victory occurring in 2010.
And with the Tide set to play 5 ranked teams following this one and South Carolina looking to avoid a 2-2 start, the stakes will be high Saturday night.
The Gamecocks and Crimson Tide will kick off at 7 p.m. ET, with the game being broadcast by ESPN.
