Week 7 was an absolutely incredible weekend of college football (unless you happened to be a fan of one of the top-ranked teams that lost).
We had chaos aplenty, and that has led to major changes in bowl projections and potential College Football Playoff fields.
This week, ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach updated their bowl projections, and a grand total of 14 SEC teams were mentioned. Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas A&M weren’t unanimous picks to make bowl games, and Vanderbilt and Arkansas didn’t receive any bowl votes.
Here’s a look at where each SEC school was projected to end up this week:
Alabama
- Bonagura: Citrus Bowl vs. Iowa
- Schlabach: Music City Bowl vs. Wisconsin
Auburn
- Bonagura: Gasparilla Bowl vs. South Florida
- Schlabach: Birmingham Bowl vs. NC State
Florida
- Bonagura: Gator Bowl vs. Pitt
- Schlabach: ReliaQuest Bowl vs. Nebraska
Georgia
- Bonagura: Playoff Quarterfinals — No. 4 Georgia vs. No. 5 Utah
- Schlabach: Playoff Quarterfinals — No. 4 Georgia vs. No. 5 UCLA
