Fans, media react to alternate uniforms in Wisconsin-Notre Dame matchup

When Wisconsin and Notre Dame took the field on Sunday night, they both walked on to the field in alternate uniforms.
Wisconsin was sporting an all-red jersey and pants combination, while the Fighting Irish were rocking a deep blue jersey and pants combination.
College football fans and media across the country were split on their thoughts, as there were people who either loved them or hated them. Here’s the best of the reaction on social media:
While the jersey got much of the conversation early, the importance of this game can’t be understated. Wisconsin is entering a crucial part of the Luke Fickell era. This is Year 4 for him as the coach for the Badgers, and the program hasn’t taken the next steps like they would have hoped for.
The game is also extremely important to the Fighting Irish, but for a different reason. Notre Dame was one of the most trendy picks during the offseason to go on to win the College Football Playoff. The Fighting Irish have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball, and quarterback CJ Carr is one of the very best in the country.
