Michai Boireau is back in the fold at Florida.

Boireau originally committed to Billy Napier’s program back in June. In September, though, he backed off his pledge to the Gators ahead of a visit to Georgia. On Saturday, he announced that he’s back with the orange and blue for good.

Boireau took to social media to share the big news.

“First and foremost, I would like to thank my family, coaches, and teammates for supporting me through this process,” Boireau wrote in a note shared on X. “I would like to say thank you to all the schools that have given me an opportunity and believed in me. Also, I would like to thank the most high for giving me to ability to play this sport. After talking to my family and loved ones and lots of consideration . I will be committing to THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA!!! Go Gators

“PS: Gator Nation, I’m back. My bad for leaving, I want y’all to know I’m back for good!!!”

A standout at Creekside in Hampton, Georgia, Boireau is listed as measuring 6-5, 390 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Boireau is rated 3-stars, the No. 81 Peach State recruit, No. 82 defensive lineman and No. 726 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.

With Boireau back on board, the Gators have 20 verbal pledges in their 2024 class, ranked No. 4 nationally on the Composite. Florida fans can check out Boireau’s highlights below, via Hudl:
