Florida just made huge addition to its 2027 recruiting class.
The Gators have picked up a commitment from 4-star cornerback Raheem Floyd. He shared the news of his commitment with Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett, who notes that Floyd picked Florida over Mizzou.
Floyd is from East St. Louis, Illinois, so Mizzou had a significant proximity advantage in his recruitment. However, he took an official visit to Gainesville back in June and ultimately decided to commit to the Gators.
This is a major pickup for Florida. Floyd is currently ranked as the No. 170 overall player and the No. 20 cornerback in the nation for the class of 2027, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 9 player from the state of Illinois.
