Perkins currently attends Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C., the same JUCO as Florida signee Diwun Black. Black is already on campus in Gainesville. It’s obvious that Black had an impact on Perkins’ decision to commit to the Gators.
Perkins signed with Mizzou out of high school; however, he quickly transferred to Mississippi Gulf Coast. The defender is rated as a 3-star prospect and ranks as the nation’s No. 5 overall prospect for the class of 2021, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
