This year, the “Third Saturday in September” rivalry matchup is taking place on the first Saturday in December. Regardless, Florida will look to continue its recent dominance against Tennessee when the SEC East foes face off at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn.

The Gators have defeated the Vols in 14 of the past 15 meetings between the two teams, with Tennessee’s lone win during that stretch coming in 2016 in Knoxville. Florida’s run of success has given it a 29-20 lead in the all-time series.

It would be a huge upset if the Vols win this season, considering the Gators are currently 7-1 and sitting at No. 6 in the College Football Playoff rankings. Florida is having a tremendous year with redshirt senior quarterback Kyle Trask, one of the front-runners for the Heisman Trophy, leading the way.

Gators fans should already be excited for this week’s game, as they’re entering as strong favorites to win. But on Friday, Florida released a hype video to continue to build the anticipation for this rivalry matchup:

Florida will be looking for its sixth straight win, as its only loss in 2020 came at Texas A&M on Oct. 10. Tennessee has lost five in a row after opening the season with two straight wins.

Florida and Tennessee are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday on CBS.
