The Florida Gators went into enemy territory to land their latest pledge for their 2023 recruiting class.

On Thursday, 3-star ATH Aaron Gates, a wide receiver and defensive back out of Sharpsburg, Georgia, announced his commitment to the Florida program.

As you can see below, Gates — a 6-foot, 180-pound athlete — took to Twitter to reveal his decision:

Coach Dan Mullen welcomed Gates to the class with the following tweet:

Per the 247Sports rankings, Gates is the No. 30 athlete in the class of 2023 and the No. 36 overall recruit from the state of Georgia.

The Gators now have 3 players in their 2023 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 6 in the nation and No. 3 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
