Florida State just landed a legacy commitment for their 2025 recruiting class.
Antonio Cromartie Jr., son of former Seminole and NFL cornerback Antonio Cromartie, has committed to Florida State. The talented prospect took to social media to confirm the news on Monday night.
“Dreams to reality, now it’s time to continue the legacy,” said the younger Cromartie in the official announcement.
Cromartie stars for Carrollton High School in Carrollton, GA. The young defender helped the Carrollton Trojans 14-1 in 2024 and finish 4-0 in the region. The 247Sports Composite ranking has Cromartie as a 3-star prospect, the No. 166 CB, and the No. 217 player out of Georgia in the 2025 class.
Before deciding on his father’s alma mater, Cromartie also received offers from Texas A&M, UT Martin, and Wofford. Now, the prospect will have a chance to compete for a spot in the Seminoles’ secondary and follow in his father’s footsteps.
Antonio Cromartie Sr. starred for the Seminoles from 2003-05. The DB collected 5 interceptions and 2 pick-6s in his college career while also racking up over 1,000 kick return yards. Cromartie went on to be drafted in the 1st round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers and played in the NFL for 11 seasons.
After the addition of Cromartie, the Seminoles have the No. 20 recruiting class for 2025. The class is currently headlined by 12 4-star prospects and 9 3-stars. In 2024, the Seminoles ended with the No. 12 recruiting class in the country.
