Florida’s Xaivian Lee breaks program record with 4th SEC Player of the Week honor
Florida guard Xaivian Lee continues to make history.
Lee was named the SEC’s Player of the Week on Monday following a pair of standout performances last week. The Princeton transfer has had an up-and-down season, but has looked like one of the best guards in the country at times this season.
Per Florida, Lee is now the first player in program history to earn 4 SEC Player of the Week honors in a single campaign.

In the midweek, Lee scored 18 points on 14 shots in a road game rivalry win over Georgia. He also dished out 7 assists in that victory.
On Saturday in a huge game against Kentucky, Lee poured in 22 points on 7-of-14 shooting and was arguably Florida’s best player. It was his first time scoring 20+ points in a game since Jan. 17 against Vanderbilt.
If Florida is going to make another deep NCAA Tournament run, Lee’s performances will certainly be a big reason why. The Gators are also closing in on another SEC regular season title as they’re off to a 10-2 start in conference play.
Lee and the Gators will face South Carolina on Tuesday night.
