Florida head coach Will Muschamp has been on the proverbial hot seat all season, and cries for his termination grew louder than ever following Florida’s embarrassing 42-13 homecoming loss to Missouri last weekend.

In response to the fans clamoring for Muschamp to be fired, Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley released a statement Monday explaining he will “evaluate the season as it plays out,” reiterating his message from before the start of the season. Notice he doesn’t mention Muschamp by name.

โ€œAt the beginning of the season we said we would evaluate the season as it plays out,โ€ Foley said in a statement released by the university on Monday. โ€œWe will continue to do so. Our sole focus right now is supporting our coaching staff as they prepare for Georgia.”
