Former Alabama QB Bryce Young shines with 3 touchdowns in first half vs. Bears

The beginning to Bryce Young’s NFL career has been defined by ups and downs, but it appears that the former Alabama signal-caller is hitting his stride as he enters his fourth season in the league.
Facing off with another former No. 1 overall pick in Chicago’s Caleb Williams, Young has been putting on a show opposite his counterpart. The Mater Dei product has expertly used his arm and legs to give the Bears’ defense fits throughout the game, one that has been filled with points and highlights from both sides.
Young has also excelled at throwing the deep ball since coming into the NFL, and he put that on full display when he linked up with emerging star Jalen Coker during the second quarter.
Despite trailing for much of the half, Young & Co. continually responded with scoring drives to remain within striking distance during their season opener in Charlotte.
After posting the best numbers of his still-short career last season (3,011 passing yards, 23 TDs, 11 INTs), Young appears poised to break through with a statement campaign as he and Carolina look to build off a playoff appearance.
