Former Alabama RB Derrick Henry moves to 3rd on NFL all-time rushing TDs list

Despite now being 32 years of age, Derrick Henry is continuing to carve his name into the NFL’s record books.
The Baltimore Ravens running back started his third year with the team on Sunday, and he was quick to make an impact.
With Baltimore driving during the first quarter, Henry waltzed his way into the end zone to push the Ravens’ advantage to 14-6. Lamar Jackson falling while handing the ball off appeared to be the only resistance Baltimore met on the play.
And the scoring run was monumental for a larger reason than it simply being Henry’s first of the new season. It also placed him in a tie for third in all-time rushing touchdowns in NFL history, as the former Alabama running back joins Marcus Allen with 123. He surpassed Allen soon after, rushing for his 124th touchdown about 30 minutes later.
Henry will now chase LaDainian Tomlinson’s 145 career touchdowns in second, with Emmitt Smith’s 164 being 41 scores off his current tally in the top spot.
While some have begun to wonder about Henry’s career trajectory considering his age and position, the veteran has continued to produce. He’s ran for over 2,600 yards since joining the Ravens and has found the end zone 34 times over the two years he’s been with the team.
