White has faced an uphill battle to make an NFL roster since finishing his Alabama career. In 2015, he signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent. He played in four games, primarily on special teams as a rookie. In September 2016, White joined New England’s practice squad. He re-signed with the Patriots on May 21, but was released on June 22.
