Former Arizona, Tennessee DB announces transfer commitment to Auburn
Alex Golesh and Auburn have experienced more transfer portal imports and exports than almost any other program in the nation, and the Tigers received some more portal news Sunday.
As he announced in an Instagram post, former Arizona and Tennessee defensive back Jack Luttrell has announced that he will be taking his talents to Auburn.
The sophomore out of Moultrie, Georgia has already experienced an up-and-down collegiate career. Rated a 3-star prospect coming out of high school by 247Sports, Luttrell originally signed with Tennessee and spent the 2023 campaign with the Volunteers.
But after not seeing the field that year, Luttrell opted to enter the portal and found a new home at Arizona. Under Brent Brennan in 2024, Luttrell made a sizable impact for the Wildcats, racking up 39 total tackles, 3 interceptions, 1 pass breakup and 1 forced fumble.
But Luttrell only appeared in Arizona’s first two games of the 2025 campaign, and he has now found a new team that’s much closer to home.
Luttrell becomes the 31st transfer in Alex Golesh‘s first portal class, and he’s also the fourth defensive back in the group.
The Auburn program has also seen 37 players exit the program via the portal.
