The Auburn to UCF pipeline continues.
Only a few days after former Auburn cornerback Marco Domio entered the transfer portal, he announced his decision to reunite with his former head coach Gus Malzahn in Orlando at UCF. Domio becomes the 10 college football player to announce his intentions to transfer to UCF since Malzahn was hired in mid-February, per 247Sports.
He is the third former Auburn player to transfer to UCF following former Auburn running back Mark-Antony Richards and former Auburn defensive end Big Kat Bryant.
Domio signed in AUโs 2020 class as a JUCO transfer from Blinn College. The Houston native was rated 4-stars on the 247Sports Composite JUCO and had 19 scholarship offers. He also took official visits to Kentucky and LSU before committing to Auburn on July 1, 2020. Cam Newton also came to Auburn from Blinn.
Domio was one of the top-ranked cornerbacks in the country in JUCO. Domio ranked as the No. 7 overall JUCO prospect in the country, the No. 3 cornerback in the nation, and the No. 2 player in the state of Texas at the junior college level in the 2020 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
During the 2020 season, Domio appeared in four games, recording 8 tackles.
