Former Auburn RB Tank Bigsby has become a key contributor for the Philadelphia Eagles, as he rushed the ball 14 times for 55 yards in the Eagles’ 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. With Saquon Barkley leaving the game on Sunday with an injury, Bigsby was going to have a chance for an extended role.
However, Bigsby suffered a core muscle injury and will be put on the IR, with hopes that he’ll be able to return for the Eagles in less than 6 weeks. According to Ian Rapoport, Bigsby is set to have surgery to repair the damage.
So far in 2026, Bigsby has totaled 28 carries for 91 yards and 1 touchdown. His outing against Los Angeles was his best of the season thus far.
Bigsby starred at Auburn from 2020 to 2022, finishing his three years with 2,903 yards and 25 touchdowns. His best season was in 2021, when he rushed for 1,099 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the No. 88 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
His best year in Jacksonville was in 2024, when he rushed for 766 yards and seven touchdowns. He was traded from Jacksonville during the 2025 season for draft picks.
