Former Florida RB moved to Dallas Cowboys’ active roster following Ezekiel Elliott injury

Former Florida running back Malik Davis on Saturday was added to the Dallas Cowboys’ active roster ahead of their game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
Davis joined the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in April after 5 seasons with the Gators. He eventually ended up on the team’s practice squad.
The 22-year-old had a solid true freshman campaign in 2017 at Florida, taking 79 carries for 526 yards and 2 touchdowns in 7 games. For his career, he totaled 1,470 yards and 8 touchdowns on the ground while making 70 catches for 726 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Davis has been elevated in the wake of an injury to Ezekiel Elliott, who has been declared doubtful for Sunday. Elliott reportedly tore his MCL and suffered a thigh bruise against the Detroit Lions on Oct. 23.
The 5-2 Cowboys and 3-4 Bears kick off from AT&T Stadium in Arlington on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
With Ezekiel Elliott listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Bears, the Cowboys elevated RB Malik Davis to their active roster from their practice squad.
