A former Notre Dame defensive back who was a four-star recruit in the 2025 recruiting cycle is now headed to the SEC after a single season in South Bend.

JaDon Blair, a safety, has committed to Mizzou out of the transfer portal, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Tuesday.

Blair was a four-star recruit and rated one of the nation’s best safeties when he signed with Notre Dame. According to 247Sports’ Composite, he was the No. 13 player at his position and just outside of the top 150 players.

While at Notre Dame during the 2025 season, Blair appeared in just one game, qualifying him for a redshirt. On December 22, he announced that he was entering the transfer portal.

On Tuesday, Blair decided to transfer to Mizzou, joining five other players who have committed to the Tigers in this transfer cycle. The big get is Austin Simmons, who began 2025 as the starter at Ole Miss before his injury opened the door for Trinidad Chambliss to step in. The Tigers on Tuesday also picked up an intriguing addition in Xai’shaun Edwards, one of the leading running backs in FCS.

Wide receiver Caleb Goodie (Cincinnati), linebacker Robert Woodyard (Auburn), and cornerback Jahlil Florence (Oregon) are the other portal adds so far for Mizzou.
