Steve Pearce probably would have never imagined he’d one day be the World Series MVP.

However, after the Boston Red Sox won the 2018 Series in five games, Pearce did indeed win the award.

The former South Carolina Gamecock had three home runs, two doubles and seven RBI in his team’s World Series victory. Coming off an ALCS award from fellow ex-Gamecock Jackie Bradley Jr., it was quite a series from South Carolina alums.

The Gamecocks had quite a series, but both players will have up-in-the-air futures coming up soon.

For now, though, they’ll enjoy their championships and see what comes their way next year.
