Former Tennessee star Tobias Harris suffers scary injury after nasty fall

Former Tennessee star Tobias Harris suffered a tremendous fall during Sunday’s game against the Boston Celtics.
Late in the third quarter, the Philadelphia 76ers player took a hard tumble at the rim after offering help defense on a drive to the basket. Harris had played 30 minutes in the game by that point, and had 16 points, four rebounds and an assist on 5-of-9 shooting from the field. Harris fortunately walked off under his own power, but the extent of his possible head/neck injury wasn’t immediately clear. Harris appeared to be bleeding from the side of his head as he left the court.
Boston led the series 3-0 as it’s been a disappointing finish for Harris and the other 76ers. The combination of Al Horford, Joel Embiid and Harris has fallen short of expectations.
Harris, an eight-year pro, averaged 14.3 points, 11 rebounds and 4.7 assists this season. The 76ers are his fifth team since he entered the NBA in 2011-12 with Milwaukee. This is his second season in Philadelphia.
Boston went on a 16-2 run after Harris’ injury as the Celtics took a 14-point lead midway through the fourth quarter.
