Former Tennessee wide receiver Chas Nimrod has decided on his transfer portal destination. The WR will reportedly head to South Florida and reunite with Alex Golesh.

Golesh was the offensive coordinator in Knoxville from 2021-22. The coach was one of the main recruiters responsible for bringing Nimrod to Tennessee.

Nimrod played in 27 games over parts of 3 seasons for the Volunteers. The wideout had his most productive season in 2023, catching 19 passes for 194 yards and 1 touchdown. In total, Nimrod ends his Tennessee career with 29 catches for 315 yards and 1 TD.

In high school, Nimrod starred for Bentonville High School in Bentonville, AR. He was rated as a 3-star prospect and the 247Sports Composite ranking had Nimrod as the No. 79 WR and the No. 7 prospect out of Arkansas in the 2022 class. Nimrod chose Tennessee over Kansas State, Illinois, and Arkansas, among others.

The WR entered the portal on Dec. 11 as a mass exodus from the Vols’ WR room ensued. Nimrod was joined by Kaleb Webb, Nate Spillman, Nathan Leacock, and Squirrel White in the portal as the Vols’ prepare for a new-look room in 2025. Former 5-star Mike Matthews is another WR who entered the portal but ultimately decided to stay in Knoxville.

Meanwhile, Nimrod becomes the 9th player to commit to the Bulls in the portal. Running back Cartevious Norton and edge rusher Josh Celiscar headline the group of transfers joining Nimrod at South Florida. Golesh is looking to make a bowl for the 3rd-straight season in 2025.
