Former Texas A&M assistant Tim Brewster is, in fact, staying with that title.
Brewster will reportedly remain as North Carolina’s tight ends coach, GigEm247 reported.
Brewster had previously been the Aggies’ tight ends’ coach in 2018 before going to the ACC and UNC head coach Mack Brown to be reunited with the coach he worked with at Texas.
Coach Jimbo Fisher is trying to replace Joe Jon Finley who left A&M for Ole Miss. While at A&M, Brewster helped develop eventual third round draft pick Jace Sternberger from JUCO transfer to consensus All American with 48 receptions for 832 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Brewster, who also coached with Fisher at Florida State, helped Texas A&M land a top five class in 2019 according to the 247 Sports Composite including five star rated tight end Baylor Cupp.
Before his left for UNC, Brewster helped secure TE Jalen Wydermyer, who developed into arguably the best freshman tight end in the SEC last season with 32 receptions.
