Former Texas A&M DL Zaycoven Henderson is facing a serious legal matter.

Per Travis L. Brown of KBTX, court documents show that Henderson is in the custody of the United States Marshals on 2 counts of federal drug charges after a March 18 arrest. Henderson is facing charges of felony conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute a controlled substance and felony possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. The substance is not specified in Brown’s report, which notes that the affidavit is currently sealed in the case.

Henderson played for Texas A&M from 2014-17. He played in 47 games, recording 116 tackles with 22 for loss, including 8.5 sacks. The 2016 season was his most productive, as he logged 40 combined tackles with 10 TFLs and 3 sacks. After his Texas A&M career, Henderson spent time with the Cleveland Browns in 2018.

Brown notes that Henderson was arrested on aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence, and possession of less than two ounces of marijuana in 2017 following the football team’s end of the year banquet. Per Brown, Henderson the 2017 arrest appears to have been expunged.
