The College GameDay crew spent Saturday morning deep in the heart of Texas (and Big 12 country) for the No, 6 Baylor’s showdown with No. 9 Kansas State.
Nevertheless, the GameDay panel, along with guest picker Mike Singletary, gave its picks for Saturday’s SEC championship game between No. 1 Alabama and No. 16 Missouri.
All four analysts picked Alabama to win. Here was their reasoning behind the picks:
Desmond Howard: “I do like Missouri’s defense, I expect a competitive game … but I’m taking Alabama.”
Lee Corso: “Alabama by a field goal.”
Kirk Herbstreit: “I don’t think Alabama respects Missouri. I think they’ll show up flat. … I think Alabama pulls away in the second half.”
Mike Singletary (guest picker): “I think (Alabama is) ready to go. I think they’re trying to take it to another level.”
