Gary Danielson had some interesting comments about Tennessee’s home field advantage heading into the matchup against Texas A&M this weekend.

The analyst, who will be on the call for CBS, appreciates the festive atmosphere and rowdy fans at Neyland Stadium.

However, despite Tennessee being 4-0 at home this season, Danielson told Knox News that he doesn’t think the environment has much of an effect on the opponent.

โ€œThis is not a criticism, just an observation. It has nothing to do with Neyland, per se, or any other stadium,โ€ Danielson said. โ€œ(Home-field advantage) is about the same every week. Whether youโ€™re playing at Ole Miss or LSU or Florida in The Swamp or Georgia โ€ฆ for a football player, loud is loud. I donโ€™t know if it makes any difference if thereโ€™s 80,000 loud people or 100,000 loud people.โ€

Danielson doubled down that Tennessee’s crowd isn’t any more advantageous than the other vaunted stadiums in the SEC.

โ€œI get that. Itโ€™s a way of life. We embrace it from a production standpoint, and itโ€™s fun,โ€ Danielson said. โ€œI love it all, the pomp and the circumstance and the storylines.ย Tennessee doesnโ€™t have to take a backseat to anybody. But to me, itโ€™s just about the same (as other SEC stadiums).โ€

Texas A&M at Tennessee is slated for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.
