Georgia announces new kickoff time for Austin Peay game due to weather forecast

Georgia and Austin Peay will kick off an hour earlier on Saturday.
UGA has announced that Saturday’s game against Austin Peay is now scheduled to kick off at 2:30 p.m. ET instead of 3:30 p.m. ET due to anticipated weather later in the day.

No. 4 Georgia is coming off a 45-7 win over the Marshall Thundering Herd in Week 1. Kirby Smart‘s Bulldogs are seeking to get in a pre-SEC tuneup before traveling to No. 22 Tennessee in Week 3 to begin conference play. UGA will then receive a bye week before the highly anticipated Week 5 showdown with No. 21 Alabama in Athens.
As for Saturday’s game against Austin Peay, the Governors also enter the game 1-0. ESPN’s Football Power Index expects Georgia to remain undefeated, giving the Bulldogs a 99% chance to win on Saturday. The game is set to be streamed on ESPN+ and SEC Network+.
