Georgia Athletic Association announces Circle of Honor class of 2025

Georgia on Tuesday announced its UGA Athletic Association Circle of Honor class of 2025, and it includes arguably the greatest player to wear a Bulldogs football uniform.
Herschel Walker led the list of honorees that will be inducted in August. The Bulldog legend totaled 5,259 yards in 3 seasons and won the Heisman Trophy in 1982, eventually being named to the College Football Hall of Fame.
A pair of longtime UGA coaches were also named to the class. Manny Diaz, one of the top players in Bulldog men’s tennis history who later became the program’s head coach in 1989, retired at the end of the 2024 season. Diaz led the Bulldogs to 4 championships during his career and is the all-time leader in SEC wins.
Jeff Wallace, longtime leader of the women’s tennis program before his retirement in 2023, rounds out the class. Wallace, one of 2 coaches in women’s tennis history to reach the 800-win mark, led the Bulldogs to 6 championships. He was also a 4-time National Coach of the Year, the most by any collegiate women’s tennis coach.
Walker, Diaz, and Wallace will be inducted to the Circle of Honor on August 29, the weekend of the Georgia football team’s season opener against Marshall.
