Georgia beats out SEC, B1G powers for 4-star linebacker

Nick Abrams II is taking his talents to Athens.
A blue-chip linebacker from Maryland, Abrams announced his college commitment on Wednesday. After picking up 30 scholarship offers, Abrams chose Georgia.
Out of Owings Mills (Maryland) McDonough School, Abrams is listed as measuring 6-2 and 220 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Abrams is rated 4-stars, the No. 6 player in the state of Maryland, No. 19 linebacker and No. 296 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.
Abrams drew interest from powerhouse programs coast to coast. For his big decision, he narrowed it down to Georgia, Alabama, Michigan and Oregon. The way Kirby Smart‘s staff develops linebackers appealed to Abrams.

Georgia briefly dipped to 28 commitments with James Johnson’s flip to Texas on Tuesday. With Abrams on board, the Bulldogs are back to 29 verbal pledges in their 2026 recruiting class, which ranks No. 2 nationally on the Composite.
