Georgia football added a commitment from Class of 2028 safety and wide receiver Nick Carroll on Thursday, landing the highly coveted 4-star prospects over the likes of Tennessee, Florida, Alabama and Florida State, to name a few. Carroll committed to Georgia just days after taking an unofficial visit to Knoxville, Tennessee.
As you can see below, Carroll hails from Lyons, Georgia, where he attends Toombs County High School.
Carroll is a highly-rated prospect in the Class of 2028, considered to be the No. 48 player in the country and the No. 4 safety, according to 247Sports. He’s also the No. 5 rated prospect out of the Peach State in the 2028 cycle.
Including Carroll, Georgia now has 3 commitments in the Class of 2028. Joining Carroll is 4-star QB Jayden Wade (the No. 2 player in the 2028 cycle per247Sports) as well as 4-star TE Asa Wall, Georgia’s first 2028 pledge. Despite being comprised of just 3 members, Georgia’s 2028 class ranks 11th in the country per 247Sports.
Elsewhere, Georgia is preparing for perhaps the biggest game of their 2026 regular season as the Bulldogs travel to face No. 6 Alabama. The Bulldogs got the best of the Crimson Tide the last time they played, but Alabama won the prior 3 games and looks to stay undefeated when Kirby Smart and Co. come to town.
