Mississippi State has reached into Georgia to land commitment No. 13 for the 2018 recruiting cycle as Atlanta native Tyrese Ross announced his pledge to join the latest Hail State class Friday.
The 6-foot, 180-pound Ross is rated as a three-star prospect, the nation’s No. 72 safety and the No. 87 overall recruit from Georgia according to 247Sports. The Atlanta native commits to Mississippi State over scholarship offers from Michigan State, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and UCLA among many others.
Ross announced the news on Twitter with the following statement:

Following Ross’ commitment, Mississippi State’s 2018 class moves up to the No. 34 overall recruiting class in the nation and remains the No. 7 class in the SEC.
