Georgia drops intense hype video on eve of mega matchup at Alabama
Georgia dipped into its recent past to narrate a 90-second hype video that is sure to get its fans — and just maybe its players — all fired up for Saturday night’s much-anticipated Week 6 matchup at Alabama.
The 2nd-ranked Bulldogs will take on the 6th-ranked Crimson Tide in a scheduled 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC. With the possible effects of Hurricane Isaias playing a role in the matchup, safety is the No. 1 priority for everyone.
But right now, the game matching 5-0 teams with identical 3-0 SEC records is on as scheduled, and on Friday night the Georgia football social media account dropped that 1-minute, 30-second thrilling hype video that’s narrated by former Bulldogs star linebacker Nakobe Dean.
Dean played in Athens from 2019-21, was a part of Georgia’s national championship team during that final season in 2021 and captured the prestigious Butkus Award that same season. He was also a unanimous All-American selection in 2021, as Dean earned himself a magical sendoff to the NFL, being drafted in the third round in 2022 by the Philadelphia Eagles.
He spent his first 4 NFL seasons with the Eagles, winning a Super Bowl championship during the 2024 season, and is now in his first year with the Las Vegas Raiders.
But Dean took a little break from his duties with the Raiders to take the microphone and remind Georgia fans that he’s still around and he still bleeds Bulldog red and black.
The hype video, entitled “Junkyard Dawgs,” encapsulates the down-and-dirty mode that Georgia will have to employ in order to win in Tuscaloosa on Saturday night.
Here it is, Georgia fans:
