Georgia has landed a commitment from Brownsville (Tenn.) Haywood defensive back Caden Harris.

On Saturday, the 2026 cornerback announced that he was flipping his commitment from Vanderbilt to Georgia and shutting down his recruitment. Harris initially gave his verbal pledge to Vandy coach Clark Lea at the end of April, but he took an official visit to Georgia recently and the Dawgs were able to impress.

Harris is a 4-star recruit in the industry-generated 247 Composite. He’s the third-ranked prospect from the state of Tennessee and the 11th-ranked corner in the class. He’s also a top-100 recruit in the national player rankings, sitting at No. 85 overall.

As a sophomore, Harris recorded 34 tackles, 2 pass breakups, and an interception while also playing extensive snaps on offense as a receiver. As a junior last fall, he was a 3-phase player, recording 30 tackles, 7 pass breakups, and an interception. He also returned a punt for a score and caught 11 offensive touchdowns.

Harris becomes the 17th known commit for Georgia’s 2026 class, which ranks among the top 5 in the country. Kirby Smart and his staff have been red-hot on the recruiting trail lately, though. Harris is the sixth recruit to join the class since the calendar flipped to June.
