The Georgia-Florida Hall of Fame is recognizing 4 greats from the 2 schools ahead of this year’s meeting in Jacksonville. On Thursday, it was announced that 2 players from each school will be inducted into the game’s Hall of Fame.

Champ Bailey and John Little from Georgia will be joined by Trey Burton and Andre “Bubba” Caldwell from Florida to make up the class of 2022.

Bailey played defensive back at Georgia from 1996-to-1998. The 1997 UGA squad memorably defeated Florida 37-17. Bailey went on to have a decorated NFL career, entering the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019, his first year of eligibility.

Little was also a defensive back. He was UGA’s starting rover from 1984-to-1986, earning All-America and All-SEC recognition the final 2 seasons. The 1985 Bulldogs defeated Florida 24-3.

Burton played multiple positions in his Florida career (2010-13). In Florida’s 2010 34-31 win over Georgia, Burton posted career highs in rushing attempts (17), rushing yards (110) and all-purpose yards (145). Burton played in the NFL from 2014-to-2020.

Caldwell was a wide receiver for the Gators from 2003-to-2007. In UF’s 21-14 win over UGA in 2006, Caldwell scored both of Florida’s offensive touchdowns. Caldwell played in the NFL from 2008-to-2016.
