Georgia has been one of the most consistent college football programs over the last decade, in large part because of Kirby Smart’s ability to get the top talent. Year in and year out, the Bulldogs are among the best recruiting teams in all of college football.
They do a great job of keeping in-state talent at home, and the Bulldogs are in the running for one of the best receivers in the country as Jabari Watkins announced his top 10 teams on social media.
The 10 teams still in the running are listed below.
- Georgia
- Georgia Tech
- Florida State
- Louisville
- Wake Forest
- Texas A&M
- Kentucky
- Arkansas
- Pittsburgh
- North Carolina
According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Watkins is a 4-star recruit and the No. 24 player in the state of Georgia. He is also the No. 28 receiver in the class, as well as the No. 204 player in the class.
The Bulldogs are off to a fast start in the 2027 class, as they are currently ranked No. 8 in the country. The class is led by running back Kemon Spell, who is the No. 7 overall player in the class.
It is still early in recruiting in the 2027 class, and Florida State appears to be a major contender in getting Watkins to commit. However, as the Bulldogs have shown over the years, they figure to once again have one of the best classes in the country when it is all said and done.
