Georgia lands commitment from elite WR recruit out of California
Georgia has a new commitment from a potential star at wide receiver.
On Monday evening, the Bulldogs earned a pledge from 3-star receiver Gavin Honore in the class of 2027. The California native also has offers from programs such as Texas and Tennessee, amongst many others.
He shared the news of his commitment with On3’s Hayes Fawcett:

Honore is a big pickup for Georgia. He’s currently the No. 430 overall player and the No. 57 receiver in the country for the class of 2027. He’s also rated as the No. 54 player from the state of California.
While Honore is currently a 3-star prospect, that certainly could change over the next year and a half before signing day. With a ranking inside the top-450, Honore could pick up a 4th star even if his national ranking doesn’t improve. Of course, his ranking could also rise in the coming months. His recent offers from Texas and Tennessee suggest that he may end up higher on recruiting boards by the end of his cycle.
At 5-foot-10, Honore potentially profiles as a slot receiver — a position that Georgia has had plenty of success showcasing in recent seasons. He attends Mater Dei High School in California, which historically has been one of the nation’s top producers of college football talent.
Honore is the first member of Georgia’s 2027 recruiting class.
