The Bulldogs landed a commitment from 3-star defensive lineman Waylon Wooten. A Georgia native, Wooten also had offers from programs like Ohio State, Florida and Purdue.
“Let’s go win a natty! Go Dawgs,” Wooten told Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett after his commitment.
Wooten is currently ranked as the No. 1,019 player in the nation for the class of 2027, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He took an unofficial visit to Ohio State earlier this spring and also had received offers from the likes of Florida State, LSU and others.
