The Georgia Bulldogs (4-0, 2-0 SEC) have been dominant to start the 2026 season. Kirby Smart‘s team beat its first two SEC foes — the Arkansas Razorbacks and Oklahoma Sooners — by 28 points apiece the last two weekends and has a legitimate claim for being the best team in college football.
Georgia hopes to keep the mean machine rolling down the track vs. the Vanderbilt Commodores in Week 5. Early Saturday morning, the Bulldogs revealed their captains for the game:
- Running back Chauncey Bowens (5)
- Safety Khalil Barnes (7)
- Defensive lineman Jordan Hall (44)
- Offensive lineman Dontrell Glover (63)
Bowens, a junior rusher from Port St. Lucie, FL, has been Georgia’s short yardage back this season. He has 29 carries for 93 yards (3.7 YPC) and five touchdowns. Barnes, an Athens native, transferred to the Bulldogs in the offseason after three years at Clemson. He has six tackles in two appearances.
Hall, a senior, is a Georgia lifer. He’s in his fourth campaign Between the Hedges and has notched four tackles (1.5 tackles for loss) in 2026. Glover, out of Fairburn, GA, is in his second season with the Bulldogs.
Vanderbilt and Georgia get underway at 12:45 p.m. E.T. (SEC Network).
