The 12th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs look to get back on track following last week’s road loss to Alabama with a home matchup against Kentucky – and have named their captains for Saturday’s noon ET kickoff on ABC.
Kirby Smart‘s staff has tabbed senior defensive back Daylen Everette, sophomore linebacker Quintavius Johnson, junior tight end Lawson Luckie and junior offensive lineman Monroe Freeling to wear the captain’s C against the Wildcats.
Everette has made 6 solo tackles and assisted on 7 more for Georgia so far in 2025, and the four-year standout also has 1 pass breakup. Johnson has 4 solo tackles, 3 assists and a pass breakup. Luckie has caught 4 passes for 31 yards so far in 2025. And Freeling, a preseason All-SEC third-team pick by Athlon, has been an integral part of an offensive line that allows the Bulldogs to rush for 213.5 yards per game.
Georgia leads the all-time series against Kentucky 64-12-2 and carries a 15-game winning streak into Saturday’s matchup. The Bulldogs escaped Lexington last season 13-12 and last lost to Kentucky at home 34-27 in 2009. The last time the teams met in Athens, it was a 51-13 UGA blowout.
