Georgia names team captains for top-10 showdown at Alabama

Georgia is ready to go for Saturday night’s showdown at Alabama.
A couple of hours before the 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff. UGA announced its 4 team captains. OL Earnest Greene III, QB Gunner Stockton, ILB Chris Cole and ILB Raylen Wilson are the Dawg captains Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.

Stockton is in his second full season as Georgia’s starting quarterback. With the help of Greene’s standout blocking, Stockton has completed 75.5% of his passes at 10.3 yards per attempt for 1,049 yards and 13 touchdowns with just 1 interception.
The Bulldog defense has also been strong through the first 5 games. Cole already has 22 tackles on the year, including a career-high 8 stops in the win over Oklahoma. He has 5 TFLs with 1.5 sacks entering Week 6.
Wilson has 24 tackles on the year. He also posted a career high in the Oklahoma game with 11 tackles. Wilson has recorded 5 TFLs and 3 sacks this season.
No. 2 Georgia at No. 6 Alabama is set for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff from Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. The game will air on ABC.
